Product pricing, billing intervals, and benefit validity
Understand product prices, one-time purchases, recurring billing, and benefit expiry.

This page describes the product prices that server operators set for buyers. For Moneta's own service fees, see the pricing page.
Billing fields
| Field | Meaning | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Price | The amount paid at purchase or at each recurring renewal | Enter yen amounts as whole numbers |
| Billing type | A one-time purchase or recurring billing | Choose a single purchase or periodic renewal |
| Renewal unit | Months or years for recurring billing | One-time purchases do not use a renewal interval |
| Renewal interval | How many units make up one billing period | Review the period shown to buyers before saving |
For example, an interval of 3 months renews every three months. An interval of 1 year renews annually.
One-time purchases and recurring billing
One-time purchase means that the purchase does not trigger periodic charges.
Recurring billing renews at the configured interval. Card subscriptions and automatic renewal using a server balance differ in where they are managed and what is required for a successful payment.
Describe the benefits and renewal conditions in your product description.
Benefit validity
The billing type and whether a benefit is currently active are separate pieces of information. A completed payment does not by itself mean that benefit activation or delivery to Discord or a game has completed.
Operators can check each purchase's status and expiry in the dashboard's purchase and benefit information. Buyers can check their purchases and renewal details in purchase management.
| Status | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Payment | Whether payment for this purchase succeeded |
| Benefit and expiry | Whether the entitlement is active and how long it is valid |
| Discord and game delivery history | Whether the role or command processing succeeded |
Stop automatic renewal
Stop automatic renewal using a server balance from purchase management. For card subscriptions, use Manage in Stripe.
Stopping renewal alone does not change the expiry of an already purchased benefit or the available balance. After stopping renewal, check the status and expiry shown in purchase management.
For example, if purchase management shows October 16 as the expiry and you stop renewal on October 1, stopping renewal alone does not shorten the expiry to October 1. Check the displayed expiry and subsequent delivery results.
See credits for insufficient balance at renewal, or payment troubleshooting for card payments and refund enquiries.
Change a product's price
Check the new selling price separately from its application to existing subscriptions. Do not tell buyers that changing a product price immediately changes every existing subscription to the same price.
Applying a price change to existing subscriptions
When applying a new price to existing subscriptions, follow the dashboard's price-change guidance. Check the affected subscriptions, notification, and the renewal date when the change will take effect.
Apply a new price to existing card subscriptions
When “Change existing subscription prices” is available:
- Save the product's new selling price.
- Open the price-change panel and choose “Apply on renewals from (JST).”
- Preview affected subscriptions and check each buyer's old price, new price, effective date, and any exclusions.
- Choose “Send notices and request changes” after reviewing the details.
- Check the history for notice, scheduling, and application results.
Allow at least 30 days after successful notice delivery. Choose a start date between 30 days and one year ahead. Each subscription changes on its applicable renewal date. For example, a November 1 start and a November 10 renewal can result in a November 10 effective date as shown in the preview. Recreate the reservation if notice requirements cannot be met.
Review exclusion reasons instead of assuming all subscriptions changed. Use “Cancel price change” to cancel an eligible reservation; canceling a price change does not end the subscription.
Repeat purchases
The product setting controls whether a buyer can purchase again while they still have an active benefit from that product. Check this alongside the billing type before publishing.
